Accessibility
Colonial Addition
Morris Plains, NJ
The house first floor was reconfigured to accessibility for a teenage daughter. A front portico and deck was provided to align with the existing first floor for wheelchair access. A bedroom was converted to an accessible bathroom on the first floor rather than construct an addition. The kitchen was opened to the family room and extended for easy wheelchair access. A panel system was included on the exterior of the house to inspire the client and help the transition to the existing siding that is to be removed at a later phase.
